As the weather slowly grows chilly, it’s time to take out the coats and jackets. The Autumn/Winter 2013 collections have been showcased a while ago, but we need a little reminder here to refresh our memories. So, I’ve summed up the fashion staples that every girl needs to have in her closet this winter.
On the Gray scale. 50 shades of grey just won’t get old. The Gray influence can still be seen on all of the Fall 2013 Runways. So gray is one color you absolutely need to have in your wardrobe.
Peplum. This is a trend that just won’t go away. It has been around on the runways for the past couple of years, and its still here. So join the peplum club if you haven’t already.
Leather. Leather love is eternal… or so it would seem. Everyone should own a leather jacket, just like an LBD! It’s one of the classic staples that never go out of fashion. 
Go Green. Join the Green bandwagon as the color explodes on the runways everywhere. With Green being the new favorite of designers left, right and center… we just might have found our “new black”. 
The Le Smokin’ Look. This look was first created in 1966 by YSL when he designed tuxedos for women. It’s a much loved look this season, if the runways are anything to go by. 
Color Blocking. This is another favorite trend that keeps re-emerging every few seasons. Well, we do seem to have an excessive fondness for it. 
Military Look. This trend is an old time player in the game of fashion. The military look is a closet necessity this winter, either in print or trench coat details. 
Put a Hat on it. The chilly months are a perfect excuse to bust out those beanies and fedoras. Hats are cute and sassy and add instant charm to any outfit. 
So get these winter necessities in your closet and strut through the cold months with all the grace and elegance of a chic Paris girl!
